MY trip to Iquique

My trip to Iquique in 2020 was the first and only time I have ever traveled by plane. On that occasion I traveled with my parents and my brother. It so happened that we made the trip between January and February, so when we arrived in Santiago, we spent a little more than a month living a normal life until we were quarantined.

I remember that we spent most of that trip being on the beach and at the Iquique festival which is free, there we saw great artists, such as Stefan Kramer, Miranda! or Américo, who played "Mujeres y Cerveza".

We also made several trips, such as to the area of Pica, which is a small town, about 2 hours from Iquique, but which has a great tourist attraction for its hot springs and especially for its thermal baths. It is a small town, about 2 hours from Iquique, but it has a great tourist attraction for its hot springs and especially for Humberstone, an abandoned saltpeter town!

It was a week full of movement and relaxation, from the long hours we spent on the beach to the trips to local museums and obviously passing through towns near the city.

That was the last big trip we made as a family, since we have not been able to go out to other parts of Chile so far away due to work issues.
